C Italian Dining hails from Angeles Pampanga. It is best known for its’ panizza which is an original creation of Chef Chris Locher.
I was so glad to know that it finally opened in City Golf Plaza.
Interiors look great with big stone slabs that remind one of a small medieval tavern. I love how the autographed white plates signed by celebrities look against the wall.
I also like how cozy the place looks even on a rainy night and how they pay so much attention to detail. I love how they take the time to even print out a client’s name to put on the RESERVED table.
I loved the bread with pesto parmesan cheese dip in olive oil starter they served. I found it very addictive.
I also liked the Mozzarella in Caroza which actually is two slabs of bread and mozzarella with pomodoro sauce and fried mushrooms which reminded me of a very rich and cheesy french toast.
The Spaghetti con Frutti di Mare was a surprise. It is actually a blend of fresh salmon, mahi mahi, grouper, prawns, imported mussels cooked in light virgin olive oil and pomodoro sauce. I liked how the fish came out so tender and juicy. It serves around 2 people but it’s pricey at Php 710.00
We also tried the Panizza. The Panizza is a crisp dough layered with a blend of five different cheeses and herbs. We settled on ordering the Kristina which is a mix of bacon, ham, caramelized onions, sun dried tomatoes and mushrooms. At Php 810.00 a dish, it can be pricey, but it’s good to share with around 3 to 4 people.
Overall, it was a good meal with excellent service. I’d come back to try other items on their menu.
